Laura

Director, Clinical Psychologist

Laura

I graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Applied Clinical Psychology, and have worked as a Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years with people of all ages in private practice, for the health department and in the disability sector. I have a special interest in working with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I enjoy helping people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and low self-esteem, or who are just generally struggling with life’s challenges. I also offer supervision to other health professionals and am registered with AHPRA as a Board-approved supervisor. I offer a kind and non-judgemental space for people to explore ways to move forward towards health and a more fulfilling life, and I incorporate various therapies that I have been trained in over the years, including CBT, ACT and DBT to help you reach your goals.

I live in the beautiful Margaret River region of Western Australia, and in my spare time love to get outdoors, and get active with my family – fishing, camping, cycling, paddle-boarding, whatever’s on offer! I am interested in the effects of being outdoors on our well-being and always encourage my clients who live close enough to meet with me outdoors and incorporate some movement into our sessions.

Other than mental health, my other main love in life is music. I love to sing and play guitar (with Jackie when we get the chance!) and understand first hand how important creative expression is for our well-being.
