Information for Referrers
Working together with you
The allied-health team at Minds Online is made up of experienced therapists who have worked extensively in the mental health, education and disability fields and are trained to treat a broad array of mental health presentations across the lifespan. All of our clinicians are registered with Medicare and accept referrals from GP’s or Medical Specialists, via a medicare-subsidised care plan or private health cover. We also accept self-referrals from clients seeking NDIS services as part of their self- or plan-managed funding package.
We understand the importance of strong relationships and open communication with our referrers, and look forward to working collaboratively with you to support your patients with their mental health and well-being.
You can send referrals to our secure email, and attention to one of our Clinicians if you have a preference for allocation. At referral, we request that you include your referral letter along with a signed copy of the appropriate care plan for the patient – Mental Health Care Plan, Eating Disorders Care Plan, Chronic Disease Management Plan or the Pregnancy Support Counselling Program. You can call or email us to discuss further and we would be happy to assist with the process.
Our emails are monitored daily and you will receive acknowledgement on receipt of your referral. We will follow up with your patient within 1-2 days and can usually book your patient in to see one of our experienced clinicians within 1-2 weeks.
We will provide you with regular updates regarding your patient's management and care and we will keep you informed if there are additional health care needs that emerge also. Your collaboration is always appreciated and we strive to make ourselves available if there are issues you would like to discuss.
